Refund policy

1. Right to Cancel (The Cooling-Off Period)

As a customer buying online, you have a legal right to cancel your contract with us within a "cooling-off" period.

  • Notification Period: You must notify us of your intention to cancel within 14 days starting from the day after you (or someone you nominated) receives the goods.

  • Method of Notification: To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to cancel the contract by a clear statement to support@getgreenenergy.co.uk

  • Start Date: For a single order delivered in one go, the 14 days starts from the day after delivery. For goods delivered in separate instalments, it starts from the day after the last instalment is received.

2. The Return Window

Once you have notified us of your cancellation, you have an additional period to return the goods.

  • Return Deadline: You must send the goods back to us within 14 days from the day on which you informed us of your decision to cancel the contract. You will be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

  • Condition of Goods: The items must be returned in the same condition as received, including all original packaging, instructions, and accessories. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

3. Refunds

We will process your refund promptly upon receipt of the returned items or proof of postage.

  • Refund Deadline: We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than:

    • 14 days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied, or

    • (If earlier) 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the goods, or

    • If no goods were supplied (e.g., a service only), 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel.

  • Reimbursement Method: We will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. In any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

4. Exceptions to the Right to Cancel

Please note that the right to cancel does not apply to:

  • Goods that are sealed for health protection or hygiene reasons, if they become unsealed after delivery.

  • Goods that are custom-made or clearly personalised to your specifications.

  • Goods which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.

  • Services (such as installation) that have been fully performed, if you acknowledged and agreed that you would lose your right to cancel once the services were fully performed.
